15-Minute Morning Yoga for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

Hi there! I’m happy to be back on the blog! And I’m trying something new. Yoga videos! First up, a 15-minute morning flow to get you moving and set the tone for a peaceful, focused, and positive day.

This quick morning yoga sequence was designed to promote hormone balance and optimal fertility for women with PCOS.

I’ve absolutely loved reading the messages from women who have done this sequence. It’s been amazing. People have reported feeling at peace, getting a regular period for the first time in a long time, and improved body image self talk. That’s huge!

I really shouldn’t be surprised because yoga is one of the best forms of self-care for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It has been shown to be more effective than conventional exercise at reducing hirsutism (unwanted facial and body hair growth), normalizing periods, and reducing insulin resistance. It can even help with menstrual cramps, which I can personally attest to.

Whether you’re not ovulating, looking to regulate your period, or get pregnant and have a baby, I can’t recommend yoga enough. It really is an incredibly powerful form of self-care. That being said, it shouldn’t be thought of as a cure for PCOS or a replacement for professional medical care. Many of my clients choose not to take metformin or birth control pills but they still see a women’s health medical provider regularly to monitor their hormones and symptoms.
