Yoga for Your Cycle | Yoga for the Follicular Phase

It’s time for the second video in our four-part Yoga for Your Cycle series. I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am. I love approaching yoga this way. Not only does it allow us to target the specific concerns that can arise during each phase of the cycle, but it also allows us to connect more fully with the physiological and energetic changes of our cycle.

In the busyness of life, we often lose touch with the ebbs and flows of our hormones and cycle. Approaching our yoga practice in a way that supports each unique phase reminds us to acknowledge our constantly evolving and flowing nature.

Today we have yoga for the follicular phase. You can think of the follicular phase (the day after the last day of your period until ovulation) as the spring of the cycle. It’s a time of momentum and growth, making it the perfect time to nourish every aspect of yourself so you and your body have the energy for all that is happening and all that is to come. Many people also feel a bit of optimism during this time. Winter is over, the sun has returned! Maybe you feel the same way after your period ends and ovulation approaches.
