By week 11 of working together, I was pregnant!

Before working with Kendra, what were your symptoms? How were you feeling about your health/ fertility and body?

I came to Kendra when I was 18 months postpartum and had not yet had a period since my pregnancy. I wanted to get pregnant but I felt incredibly disconnected from my body. I was in a state of perpetual fatigue, anxiety, sugar cravings, and binge/restrict eating patterns that left me feeling guilt & shame. I had a long history of irregular cycles, disordered eating, and a miscarriage before having my first child.

Before working with Kendra, what had you tried/ what were you doing to manage your symptoms/ reach your goals?

Before working with Kendra, I was jumping from one dogmatic and restrictive diet to the next- I tried intermittent fasting, a vegan/mostly raw diet, calorie counting, eliminating whole food groups, etc. I was afraid of sugar and yet also constantly craving it and agonizing over it. I didn't feel in touch with my body and oftentimes I felt at war with her.

What was it like to work with Kendra?

I wasn't sure what to expect when I reached out to Kendra and when I first talked with her, I asked if it was okay to work together even though I was still breastfeeding (I knew that this could make it more challenging to work on fertility without any resumption of a cycle) but we decided that it was still a worthwhile endeavor. Working with Kendra was the best decision I made for myself and my body this year. She was a breath of fresh air and a bright light for me in a time when I felt lost and discouraged. She gave me space to explore my history and relationship with my body, helped me find compassion for myself through that difficult process, and she gently guided me towards a way of eating and moving my body that was nourishing and healing. Kendra's work fuses holistic self care, mind/body connection, and evidence based nutrition to help you create a way of living that is sustainable, supportive, balancing, and pleasurable.

Since working with Kendra, how have your feelings about your health and body changed? How have your symptoms changed? What goals have you reached?

It is no coincidence that within a few weeks of working with Kendra, I got my first postpartum period! By week 11 of working together, I was pregnant! Not only did I reach my ultimate goal of pregnancy, but I have a completely new relationship with my body. I no longer count calories, track my steps, use exercise as a form of punishment, attempt restrictive diets, or fear fat & sugar. I trust my body, my intuition, and have compassion for this process.

Working with Kendra has been one of the most valuable, healing, and empowering experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend Kendra to any woman looking to heal her relationship with her body & food, balance her hormones, and nourish her body to support healthy cycles and fertility.
